happy new year

We spent our New Year's Eve at our friends, the Garvers (Mike, Becky, Bree (2), and Kate (9 mo), this year. We were excited to have plans at all, seeing as how I'm 9 months pregnant and we have a two-year old! :) Dan said on the way there, "I'm going to spend New Year's Eve with 3.5 babes and two hot mamas! And Mike!" :) ALL of us were pretty much hoping to stay awake through dinner and assuming we'd miss the stroke of midnight....but we stayed up late and even saw the ball drop!!!

Bree and Sam had a blast playing together! It seems like this photo would have been taken at the end of the night, but it's actually how they started....watching Nemo together while the guys went out to get Chinese take-out for us!

The girls actually got more and more wound up at the night went on. Sam's bedtime is supposed to be 7:30 but seems to be more like 8:30 or 9:00 during the holidays. They stayed up past 10:00 this night!!!! 

They were running around, both screaming with joy, chasing each other and laughing! At one point all four of us covered our ears at the exact same time because they were shrieking so loudly! (We tried to stop them but that seemed to make them scream even more so we tried to ignore them instead!) A side note: Sam put this tutu on at the beginning of the night and didn't want to take it off! She's such a girly girl! I love it! 

We were introduced to a new game called "BUMMER", which I'm happy to report that Mike and I won (as a team)! We had such a great time playing!

Dan still loves me even though I kept bumping his players off the board! :)

Mike and Becky, thank you SO MUCH for having us over! We had such a good time and we always love catching up with you!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR! Here's to all of the upcoming excitement in 2009!!!!
